The first four days of our journey will be
spent in the old city of Lhasa. This time will allow for
excellent sightseeing and proper acclimatization. The
awe-inspiring Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple will be some of
the mains sites we see while in Lhasa. Soon after we will depart
in four wheel drive Toyota Land cruisers. Along the amazing
Friendship Highway we will stay in first-rate yet traditional
Tibetan hotels every step of the way.
The highlight of this trip for many is our visit to the base
camp of Everest. The sheer brilliance of this mountain is
something which must be seen first hand to be truly appreciated.
You will be blown away by its beauty and astronomic size.
Mt. Kailash, 6,740 m. is situated to the north of the Himalayan
barrier, wholly within Tibet. It is the perfect mountain with
awesome beauty, with 4 great faces. It is the spiritual centre
for four great religions: Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, the Jain
religion and the pre-Buddhist animistic religion - Bonpo. To
Tibetans it is known as Khang Rimpoche (Precious Jewel of Snow)
and they see it as the navel of the world.
Different people have different ideas of its description. You
will feel the real difference in this world. Go there, see and

Day 01 :
Kathmandu- Lhasa
Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa in Tibet. O/n at Hotel. |
Day 02-03 :
Lhasa
Lhasa Sightseeing Tours two full days of sightseeing tours of Lhasa. Visit the great Potala Palace the residence of the Dalai
Lamas of Tibet; Norbulinka, the Summer Palace; Drepung & Sera,
two of the biggest Buddhist monasteries of Tibet; the Jokhang
Temple, the holiest shrine in Tibet; and the bustling Barkor
Tibetan Bazaar.

Day 04-05 :
Gyantse – Shigatse – Lhatse
Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake and continue to Shigatse and
Lhatse. Hotel in Gyantse. Tent at Lhatse. |
Day 06-07 :
Rongbuk Monastery – Everest Base Camp
Drive via Pangla pass to Rongbuk Monastery, world's highest
monastery situated at 5200m. Optional day hike to North Everest
Base Camp. Tents at Rongphu. |
Day 08-10 :
Saga – Dongba - Mansarovar
Drive west over the Tibetan highlands following the great Zangpo
River to the shores of Lake Manasarovar in the Mt. Kailash area.

Rest and exploration day at Lake Manasarovar. Tents. |
Day 12-15 :
Around Mt. Kailash Trek
Drive to Darchen and start 3-day trek around Mt. Kailash
crossing Droma La pass and visiting Drira Puk & Zuthulpuk cave
temples. Tents. |
Day 16-20 :
Drive to Kathamndu
Return drive to Lhasa or follow the Friendship Highway to
Kathmandu. Tour ends on reaching Kathmandu. |
