Siklish Trek |
This is a short trek from around Pokhara. In
this trek one can have the amazing panorama of mountain,
including Annapruna South (7,219 m), Annapurna I (8,091m),
Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail - 6,997 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m)
and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m) and in the distance Manaslu (8,163
m), Ngadi Chuli (Peak 29) and Himalchuli (7,892 m). The
inhabitants of this area are mainly Brahmins and Chhetri, though
you reach Siklis - the largest Gurung village in Nepal with 700
houses, a chance to see traditional Nepalese hill life. In the
springtime, you can see white orchids and other flora in the
forest. This is one of the areas where only a few tourists can
be seen. |

Day 04 : Afternoon, drive from
Pokhara to Hyangja and commence trek along a
flat trail past the Tibetan Refugee Camp to a
campsite along the bank of Madi Khola 3 hrs
