Everest Gokyo Peak
Trekking |
The Gokyo Peak (5480m) ascent is one of the
highlights of this trek. We stay here to experience and enjoy
the scenery which includes the splendid views of Everest
(8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo (8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) etc. The
Renjo Pass route is off the usual beaten track.
This short route to Renjo La via Gokyo Ri enables trekkers who
have a limited time to discover the most famous beauties of
Nepal. It is set amongst breath-taking high mountain scenery and
the route leads through the Khumbu. The trail to Gokyo is a
gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch
and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can
sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements, we
reach the Gokyo lakes.
This trek goes from Lukla to the valley of the awesome Ngozumba
glacier, allowing enjoyment of the huge panorama of Gokyo Peak.
It is not as snowy as the Everest Base Camp trek, but it allows
you to appreciate the silent grandeur basic to the Himalayas. |

Free Day in Kathmandu / City Tour |
Day 03 :
Flight Kathmandu-Lukla. Trek from Lukla to
Phakding (2600m). (3 hrs) |
Day 04 :
Phakding-Jorsale (2805m)-Namche Bazaar
(3440m). |
Day 05 :
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar.
Excursion to Khumjung is possible. hours and a
camp is made at Nyaulikharka. |
Day 06 :
Namche Bazaar-Phortse Thanga |
Day 07 :
Phortse Thanga-Dole-Machhermo (4410m). |
Day 08 :
Machhermo-Gokyo (4791m). |
Day 09 :
Gokyo-Gokyo Peak (5483m) and back to Gokyo |
Day 10 :
Gokyo-Gokyo Peak (5483m) and back to Gokyo. |
Day 11-16 :
Return way down to Lukla |
Day 17 :
Flight Lukla-Kathmandu |
